While Natacha was making tiny energy balls, traditionally called ladoos in India, to create healthy and delicious eastern eggs, Méjane was making some energy balls to keep her energy fueled as a new mum needs. Whatever is your reason or excuse ;) Here are two recipes for energy balls to nourish you, your family or someone in need of energy support.
Natacha’s recipe:
15 pitted dates
½ cup of peanut butter
3 tbsp of raw cacao powder
3 tbsp of oat
½ tsp of vanilla powder
Mix in a high-speed blender all of it until the dough is well mixed and sticky.
Make balls or small chocolate eggs.
If you want to use them as chocolate eggs, you can fold aluminium around.
Put them in the fridge.
After 30 minutes, they should have hardened enough.
You can keep them up to a week in an air thigh container in the fridge or up to 3 months in a freezer.
Mejane’s recipe:
200 grams of cooked and rinsed chickpeas
1 tbsp of peanut butter
20 grams of oat
A bit of honey or maple syrup
A bit of vanilla powder
Chocolate chips
Mix in a high-speed blender all the ingredients except the chocolate chips until the dough is well mixed and sticky.
Make balls including the chocolate chips.
Put them in the fridge.
After 30 minutes, they should have hardened enough.
You can keep them up to a week in an air thigh container in the fridge or up to 3 months in a freezer.
